Living with diabetes; this Portsmouth student lets nothing get in his way

Luke Hollis is one of 400,000 people in the UK living with type 1 diabetes.

Since he was 13, Luke has had to monitor everything he eats and drinks as well as injecting insulin daily to maintain his blood sugar levels.

This 20-year old’s diagnosis also affected his family as they learnt to adapt their lives to help Luke as much as possible.

Although he has been diagnosed for seven years, this disease still provides everyday challenges.

Whilst being a diabetic is a life-changing condition, Luke is determined to live a regular life.
